Update age: Any sample that the first age has been reviewed. An otolith will be reviewed if there is discrepancy between reader and tester or if there is a questionable age-length relationship.

Test age: The age assigned by a second age reader or "tester". Twenty percent of raw ages are examined by a second reader.

Unageable: Samples that could not be given a single age or a reasonable age range due to physical characteristics of the otolith, collector error, or indistinguishable growth patterns.
