Gear Description

The 3 meter beam trawl is a small mesh demersal trawl designed to catch small fishes and invertebrates (Gunderson and Ellis, 1986, and modified as in Abookire and Rose, 2004). The effective mouth opening is 2.1 meters wide and 0.8 meters high. Mesh is 7mm with a 4mm codend liner.
