Kodiak Laboratory: Shellfish Assessment Program

New Kodiak Laboratory Director

Dr. Robert (Bob) Foy  

Dr. Robert (Bob) Foy assumed his new position as Laboratory Director and Program Manager of the RACE Division’s Shellfish Assessment Program at the Kodiak Fisheries Research Center in mid-May.

Dr. Foy comes to the AFSC from his faculty position with the University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF) School of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences and was stationed at the Fishery Industrial Technology Center in Kodiak. Bob has been involved in a broad range of research in Alaska associated with groundfish, forage fish, and groundfish fishery-Steller sea lion interactions. He has also served as an academic advisor or committee advisor/chair for graduate students at UAF.

All are encouraged to welcome Bob into his new position at the Kodiak Lab and with the AFSC.
